A. Position Purpose

Responsible for ensuring that relevant Business Intelligence Reports are generated, and Measurable and Actionable Service Metrics are produced for the consumption & action by Services Management. Supports the Management & Leadership in the creation of Review presentations for Board and other Governance Committees.

Works closely with various vertical heads to ensure their need is understood before creating new reports when required. All reports must result in management of enhancing Customer’s Service Experience. Will also work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure quality data is sourced when required. Will liaise with the Datawarehouse & Tech teams to ensure most reports are automated, thus giving time to add value to the data distilled from such reports.

Primary Purposes:

  • Manage data accuracy and reporting accuracy embellished with quality value add commentary
  • Use data analysis, graphic design, and appropriate graphics and technology tools to present information in a way that is accurate, accessible, and appealing
  • Proactive communication with stakeholders and data providers to achieve success

B. KEY Position Responsibilities


Key Responsibilities


Ensure quality data used is from the single source of truth and with no integrity loss. Ensure all data used is stored effectively & efficiently and available to team when required


Ensure timely collation/extraction of data to ensure reports are produced as per committed schedules (properly prioritized)


Ensure relevant daily checks & controls are in place to avoid incorrect reporting. Ensure zero error rate in data processing/Analysis/reporting and avoid delays.


Consolidate information into simple, cohesive, and insightful analytical reports for use in decision making (not step analysis but performance trending & business reasons). Relevant inferences must be provided.


Interpret & Analyze complex data points/concepts to translate them into easy-to-understand graphs, charts, and visual graphics that capture the audience’s attention


Develop and maintain customized templates and graphics to ensure a consistent “look and feel” for the department. These must be reviewed half yearly after seeking feedback from user Managers


Create high impact strategic presentations (Cutting Edge PPTs) with clear messaging while incorporating smart visual solutions that make a difference at high-stakes meetings that affect major business decisions. The art of story telling must be used in creating such decks.


Improve and streamline processes related to data collation, data flow and data quality to improve data accuracy, viability and value


Regularly review reports for standardisation & removing duplication


Automate all reports for the business to improve unit efficiency and avoid repetition


Contribute to the services Improvement function by providing quality inputs for process / product changes


Ensure all reports are quality controlled before being released


Assist with the annual budgeting process of the Unit


Provide relevant training to Services staff, when requested

C. Qualifications and Experience Requirement



Graduate with exposure at various levels in the banking domain


MBA (full time) or Chartered Accountant



Minimum 5 years of experience in diverse roles

Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills

  • Background in Banking across a few functional areas in the Services/Ops functions
  • Project Management, Team Leading Experience in a banking environment
  • Ability to structure, plan and execute projects covering various business areas
  • Problem solving and leadership skills to meet the need of using a blend of intuition and analysis, ability to multi-task and have a balance between the strategic and operational focus
  • Excellent communication skills, business writing, presentation skills both oral and written that help promote clarity and present persuasive options
  • Should be able to interact with stakeholders across businesses


Experience in similar roles is a Financial Institution

  • Good experience in Banking Process
  • Ability to source, collate and quantitative analysis of data, distilling to the essence required and interpreting it to seek cause and effect relationships
  • Ability to view issues from various angles/lenses and build alternative views.
  • Ability translate Leadership strategy down to operational levels
